Sound Designer and Audio Director

Sound From The Past (时光回响) is a large-scale outdoor public sound installation, permanently located in The Bond, Shanghai. It is endorsed by the Shanghai city government. The sculpture is made by Shanghai Yijin art sculpts Ltd. Our company Sonic Hits Co takes charge of the entire audio system. Rex is the Sound Designer and Audio Director for this project.

The Bond is Shanghai’s signature tourist destination, it attracts about 5 million tourists daily, and over 10 million per day during national holidays. The Bund centers within the former Shanghai International Settlement, which runs along the western bank of the Huangpu River. There are dozens of historical buildings in The bund, lining the Huangpu River, that once housed numerous banks and trading houses from the United Kingdom, France, the United States, Italy, Russia, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, and Belgium, as well as the consulates of Russia and Britain, a newspaper, the Shanghai Club and the Masonic Club.

This project has been widely reported by China’s main stream media such as China National Radio, Xinmin Evening News and Sina Corp.
